ProLon Fast Bars – 2024 Review

ProLon Fast Bar – My Quick Review Summary

I recently tried ProLon Fast Bars and was impressed with their taste and nutritional value. These nut-based bars are gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, low in sugar, and keto-friendly. What sets them apart from other bars is that they are designed to keep your body in a fasting state.

According to ProLon, their Fast Bars do not raise your blood glucose levels and help curb your appetite until your next meal.* I found this to be true and felt satisfied after eating one. Overall, I would recommend ProLon Fast Bars to anyone looking for a healthy, keto-friendly snack option while fasting.

What Are ProLon Fast Bars?

The ProLon Fast Bar is the perfect supplement for those who practice intermittent fasting in between cycles of the Fasting Mimicking Diet. I try to do a cycle of FMD once a quarter, but in between, I’m always looking for a way to extend my fasting period to increase the ketogenic benefits

We know from the research done by Dr. Longo and his colleagues that you can “fast WITH food,” as counterintuitive as that sounds. It’s because our body remains in a fasting state as long as the nutrients ingested do not trigger your body’s nutrient sensing system. Fast Bar has been developed to ensure just that. You can eat the Fast Bar without signaling to your system that you have eaten.*

Here’s the “best use” scenario for ProLon Fast Bars:

How To Use ProLon Fast Bars

When I’m not on a Fasting Mimicking Cycle with ProLon, I stick to a 16:8 fasting window goal. In other words, I only have water and black coffee when I first wake up, and I don’t have any food until 10:00 am. Then I aim to finish my last meal of the day by 6:00 pm, with nothing but water after that. That’s an 8-hour window.

But with ProLon Fast Bar, I can extend my physiological ketogenesis for several hours.* I eat a ProLon Fast Bar at 10:00 am, then don’t eat again until about 1:00. In this way, my fasting window is increased from 16 to 19 hours, allowing for a longer period of ketogenesis, helping me with my weight maintenance goals.

Prolon Fast Bar Ingredients

ProLon Fast Bars are real food, with no complicated, fake flavors. They contain only ingredients that you know and can pronounce. High quality ingredients, like macadamia nuts, pecans, and almonds to provide clean, plant-based protein.

Each flavor is slightly different, but they are all nut-based. They are all 190 calories, with about 14 grams of fat, 18 grams of carbohydrates, and 5 grams of protein. Most importantly, they were specifically designed to support intermittent fasting.

How Often Can You Eat a ProLon Fast Bar?

To maximize the benefits of ProLon Fast Bar and support your overall health, you should enjoy it only once a day as part of an overall balanced (Mediterranean-style) diet. It serves as an excellent morning option after your overnight fast, or as a healthy snack to satisfy hunger throughout the day, in addition to your regular meals.

For optimal safety and effectiveness, it’s essential to stick to just one Fast Bar per day. The impact of consuming multiple bars daily hasn’t been thoroughly studied, so it’s recommended that you avoid exceeding this amount. Instead, complement your morning or afternoon routine with a single ProLon Fast Bar and continue to follow a healthy, balanced diet for your other meals.

Designed to support Time Restricted Eating and other short fasting approaches, ProLon Fast Bar is your ideal companion for a successful fasting journey. Embrace the convenience and benefits of this nutrition bar as you maintain your fasting state and nourish your body for overall well-being.

Fasting Bar

Fast Bar has reinvented fasting – now you can eat without breaking your fast!

The body remains in a fasting state as long as the nutrients ingested do not trigger the body’s nutrient sensing system. Fast Bar has been developed to ensure just that. You can eat the Fast Bar without signaling to your system that you have eaten.

ProLon L Bar vs Fast Bar

If you’ve already completed, or at least researched, the Fasting Mimicking Diet, then you know that the patented 5-day nutrition plan contains an item known as the L-Bar. So then you’re probably wondering, “Is there a difference between ProLon L Bar Vs Fast Bar?”

The answer is a definite, “Yes.” While the ProLon Fast Bar is very similar to ProLon’s Nut L-Bars, there is a slight difference in size, calorie count and sugar content.

So although the L-Bar could probably be used as a Fast Bar, the opposite is not true due to the precise nature of the 5-day Fasting Mimicking protocol. In other words, the slight difference from the ratio and amount of specific macro- and micro- nutrients may interfere with the benefits of the Fasting Mimicking Diet.
